Marginalized Thoughts:
It is an awful shame, a horrid truth, that some thoughts are more true than others. What did the graceful butterfly of a dream that “Pink Hats Should Smell Like Popcorn” do that condemned it to ridicule and a lack of consideration. Why are fleeting thoughts of fancy so fleeting?
I knew an idea once, new and brave. It had every bit of potential any big-name thought ever did to go out into that big wide world and change something. That was until, of course, it was reconsidered.
For those who may not know, reconsidered is to an idea what recalled is to a children’s toy, what withdrawn is to a statement, what being shaken upside down is to a picture of stairs on an etch-e-sketch. Granted of course some new idea comes out in replacement, as shiny and new as anyone could ask it to be, but the old one is little more than forgotten and destroyed.
Do my dreams dream? Do they hope to be remembered? Do they want to make an impact in my life like so few things really have?
